I’m Mamta Lamba, a musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist. I enjoy helping people understand their symptoms, rebuild confidence in movement and work towards the everyday activities and sporting goals that matter to them.
Supporting senior citizens
Much of my clinical work involves supporting senior citizens with pain, mobility difficulties and day-to-day function. I take an individual approach, considering each person’s comfort, abilities and goals.
A hands-on approach to physiotherapy
Hands-on treatment is a central part of my in-person practice at Mersea Road Clinic. Following an individual assessment, I select techniques suited to your symptoms, comfort and goals. Depending on your assessment, hands-on treatment may include muscle energy techniques (MET), joint mobilisation and manipulation, myofascial release, sports massage, cupping therapy and sports taping. Where appropriate, I complement treatment with resistance exercises, strengthening, active and passive stretching, and practical self-management advice to support your progress between appointments.
A clear, individual approach
I start by listening to your concerns and assessing your symptoms, movement and goals. Treatment is selected according to your assessment and response, with practical guidance to help you take an active role in recovery.
A little about me
I want you to feel welcome, listened to and comfortable sharing your concerns. My experience working with boxers has given me a keen interest in the sport. Outside work, I enjoy watching boxing and spending time outdoors, especially in the mountains or by a lake.
You don’t have to tackle everything at once. We start with what is troubling you now, then build towards wider movement and fitness goals at a pace guided by your assessment, tolerance and progress.
Explore your symptoms, daily demands and movement patterns, and assess factors that may be contributing to the problem.
Begin with an individual plan focused on the current concern, with exercises selected to support symptom management and comfortable movement.
As appropriate, assess broader strength and movement control, with posture considered where relevant to your activities and goals.
Gradually develop whole-body exercise, fitness and activity capacity, with regular review and a plan that adapts to your response.
These stages are flexible and may overlap. Progress is individual; the plan can be adjusted without waiting for every symptom to disappear.
Kind words from patients who have shared their experience of care.
Every time I visit Mamta I come away feeling better and in less pain. She listens, she’s kind and she’s very gentle, but she achieves the right result. I’m so glad to have found someone who I trust will do what’s right for me. Thank-you Mamta..

As usual, first class professional service from Mamta Mamta. She will always listen to everything you say prior to deciding what treatment you need. Mamta gives you confidence in yourself every time you visit. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is concerned about treatment at this practice. In addition, the reception staff are all very pleasant
Matma is really thorough diagnosing and then treating. She used cups on me which I found incredible. I had so much pain in my leg and knee before my visit and that treatment along with prescribed exercises, left me pain free. She is very informative so explains how the problems occur and how to avoid them. Totally recommend
It was my first visit today and I was really impressed by the treatment I was given. Mamta not only gave me hands on treatment but explained fully about what she was doing and why . She treated me with respect and kindness which I very much appreciated.
first time at your clinic and I can’t thank you enough, wonderful experience and look forward to many more
As always, my consultation was excellent. Each week that I attend, I experience improvement with my conditions
